- My name is Kelly Laws and I am the Founder/CEO "Makeup On The Go." My side gig is teaching 9-12th graders at a local charter school. I am a lover of anything related to beauty and fashion and delilght in finding something new in the arena. I remember when I was a little girl, I always knew that I wanted to be in the fashion field. I had this big dreams of being a fashion buyer and traveling throughout Europe and the US buying for a major retail company. Well that didn't happen so I tried makeup advisory at several retail stores and also freelance and found it to be unrewarding. So I figured that I would create a businss where I can work for myself and bless others without the restrictions of asking my customer, "Would you like to put that on your_____ charge? (fill in the blank with a retail store) Don't have an account with us? Would you like to open up an account and receive 25% off your first of your purchase?" You know the line!!! Anyway here I am and very happy!!! I have my own company and I am in the process of creating a cosmetic line for all women but especially women of color. The reason being is that our skin tones range from almost light, light to dark cocoa. I am the one who has a hard time finding a match for my skin tone so that is one thing that drives me to create a line. Back to my business What my business does is travel to make you beautiful. I also do spa/pamper parties, and will do fashion shoots, conferences, one on one classes, etc... and I also sell a line of cosmetic for a major cosmetic company to the women that I service. God is good!!! This is only the begining and I am so excited about my "New Begining."
- What is your biggest problem with makeup?
- Finding a foundation shade that matches my skin. Also my skin is somewhat oily in the summer.

As you may or may not know June is Black Music Month! Everyday starting about a week ago, we have been sending DAILY VIDEO EMAIL TRIBUTES to your regular email inboxes.
